My blue-eyed rotten beauty :)

So when we decided to wean Samara from breastfeeding onto cow's milk, we soon discovered that she did NOT like the taste of it at ALL! We were so worried to begin weaning before we accustomed her to cow's milk. She would drink SOME water out of her sippy cup, but very small amounts. I was a little worried that she wasn't getting enough to drink, and if she would ever wean onto whole milk. We went to her 1 year wellcheck and her Dr. told us that the whole not drinking very much wasn't a big deal because she was getting most of her water from breastfeeding and her baby food, and to keep trying the whole milk. Every time we would try, she would make a face and it would run out of her mouth. So, to get to the point, I came across a wonderful blog on Pinterest ( I'm an addict) and she mentioned that she was having the same issue with her little one. Her Dr. told her that some breastfed babies may not like the taste of cow's milk because it isn't as sweet. She had suggested giving the baby sweetened milk...but who wants to add sugar to your baby's milk??? Instead she naturally sweetened the milk by using fruit. Genius!!! Tutorial here  I decided to give it a try with Samara and......she LOVED it! I was so relieved! The first time I offered it to her, she drank about 3 ounces, but now she is up to 5 or 6 ounces. Thank you so much for your awesome blog A Healthy Slice Of Life! :)
